Throughout the second half of the season, there were complaints that the bats weren't swinging. Our pitchers were fine, but no scoring.
Then we bought a lot of talent.
And the bats still didn't swing.
Well, not always. There were a few occasions that the bats did show some power.
But then the pitching that would fall apart.
Time for some whine:
This was supposed to be the year! McCourt went away and Magic was supposed to happen...
A couple of notable moments: Mark Ellis started the 4th inning with a home run. Chris Capuano made a great but scary catch as the hit ball came straight at him. But in the end, the score was not in favor of the Dodgers. 4-1 AND the Nationals clinch their playoff berth. Talk about a lump in the throat....
It's a hard night for Dodger fans, watching another team celebrate on a grander scheme than usual (aka after any ole game) after having beat us.
Girl Talk: Unrequited love. You love your guy, but he's just not focused ... we've all been there at some point. And all you can do is sit and maybe even cry a little and hope tomorrow he calls. Or wins one. Just so he/they salvage a little dignity after blowing it.
Game time tomorrow: 4:10pm PDT. We play the Reds.
Go Blue.
