See what a full moon can bring?
And a walk off win!
What a night! First Aaron gives up a run and then Ethier hits a two run homer to give the Dodgers a lead. Sweet!
They hang on to that lead till the Giants tie it up then here comes the ninth and SMACK! A walk off hit! Oh happy happy joy joy we are still in it! Dare we hope???
On another note, saw a couple of Giants fans get escorted out. They were hollering something about police brutality. Funny thing was that they passed right by where I was sitting and nothing looked brutal. And from what I could tell, they had been so obnoxious that even OTHER Giants fans clapped when they got taken away. Look, here's my problem with all that nonsense: would you act that way if you were in someone else's house? As a Guest? If it's your own home, act however you want. But when you are a Guest, mind your manners. For that matter, it wouldn't hurt us ALL to be aware of our manners all the time. When the other Guests OF YOUR TEAM- THE VISITING TEAM start ratting you out to security, you know it's time to leave.
'Nuff said on that.
Here's what I noticed tonight: the focus. The Boys in Blue stayed focused. Eyes on the prize: a trip to this weekend as a Wild Card. I'll give Shane Victorino ONE thing: he's a patient hitter. He'll take the walk. (I thought of that as he went 3-0... then swung the bat). And Ethier has a GREAT check swing. This all requires focus and patience.
NEW GIRLS: Check Swing is when you stop just short of a full swing of the bat, thus {hopefully} avoiding a possible strike. The batter will stop before it's too late.
That being said... GIRL TALK: I find that I've gotten better at that this past year: thinking before speaking. Stopping myself before making a complete ass of myself. Let's face it, how many times have we regretted saying... whatever it is we said?
'Nuff said.
Game time tomorrow: 7:10pm PDT at the Ravine. GO Blue! xoxo
