Aug. 14, 2012: Post Game GAB: Rollercoasters

Dodgers win as Giants are just getting underway with the Nationals. Talk about a nail biting ride! On a fun note though, for at least a couple of hours or so, Dodgers will own first place all by themselves. Till the outcome of the Giants' game is determined. The two prospects are the following: We take over that berth alone for about [at least] 24 hours OR we tie again.  Roller coasters! Who likes 'em?? They can be fun and whimsical or they can be nauseating. Take your pick.

GIRL TALK: First date we go to an amusement park. The guy takes us on a roller coaster. To prove what good sports we are, we agree to go. We get on, we dip, we swirl, we we turn, we turn green... and our hair that we spent 57 minutes on is a mess. Terrific.
But roller coasters ARE fun. Let's face it- even if they make you sick, they're fun for others. And roller coasters of life are what make ... life worth riding. And playing. And dipping. And swirling.

Like when the perfect guy looks at you... and you get that funny feeling under your skin. And your face flushes and blushes. And your hands feel clammy. And you get giggly. And teary eyed.  And you are 39. Or 18. Or 25. And all of a sudden shy. All at the same time-(even the ages)... all this stuff is rushing through the very course of your veins when you think about him. And even the thought of him thinking of your name sends you into orbit... THAT'S a roller coaster. Ok, maybe if you're not a baseball fan (YET), I only want to try and impart what it feels like right now to a Dodger fan- and yes, a Giants' fan too (grrr).
So we put on the dress (you know the dress), the heels, we get our hopes up and HOPE we say the right things and HOPE we don't flip our hair at the wrong moment (also known as an error), and hope we don't give too much away in our incessant babble so they can steal our signs.. (see how this all comes back to baseball?)...

GO BLUE! Ready to take back FIRST for ourselves?
Dodgers win 11-0 today. Giants leading 1-0 bottom of the 5th as I write...Go Nats! :)
Game time tomorrow 4:05pm PDT. And Kershaw scheduled to pitch.
