Ok, so I take it back. Spring training games CAN end in a tie.
Yes, yes. I call myself out on that. In my {only} defense, I knew that, but wasn't thinking. The regular season games don't end in ties.
But my bigger concern is this: if we lost yesterday 9-0, in spite of the earliness of the Spring [Training] Season, someone's bats are swinging, just not ours. It IS possible. Someone did it. So even though our pitchers today held them off, where were the bats? 2-2 ain't a jig type of dance score. (You know what I mean.) It's just rather ....meh. So what now?
I remember that moment in the movie when Carrie saw Aiden...on a whole new continent....to me it registered: "Are you serious? Now what? Heart stand still!" I always preferred Aiden myself over Big, but what do I know....
Ok, so tomorrow we play the Cubs. This should be easier. Let's face it, it's the Cubs. It's not like the hardest team to overcome....not being mean just realistic. Tomorrow' game should be good for our ego, confidence and moral.
Ok, did SO NOT mean to do the SJ Parker thing twice...does that mean it's Parker Squared? Thus justifying the 2-2 score?
No, when it's time time to win, it's time to win. Again, sometimes looking forward to a more sure thing is comforting, right Girls?
And now I've gone and done it again...
2-2...Sure Thing....I'll Say Anything to try and get a win from the Boys in Blue...
Cusack Squared....
Who doesn't love that guy?
Tomorrow. Game time in AZ 12:05pm PST.
Spring Training has only just begun. Bring it, Cubs! You don't look so tough!
