During the first month of the season (baseball season), I usually get a little fussy when the Dodgers have a day off. Like today/tonight. Especially since they tend to make up the bulk of my Fantasy Baseball team. Yes Ladies, I am one of those. But in my defense, it's really the only "game" I play. I don't do Fantasy Football. So while it's still early, I find myself staging elaborate plans to keep myself occupied on the days my Boys in Blue, Dem Bums, the Dodgers have a day off. I watch a baseball documentary, I write (yes, more than blogs), I'll go for a run with the dog (I have two but one is too old to run- so I take the younger one). Girl Talk: You know when you and your guy do the "Girls' Night Out/ Guys' Night Out thing? Think Carrie Bradshaw and clan. Let the Guys do their thing- you do yours. Dear Dodger: Enjoy your day off. Rest up. Tomorrow you must beat the Mets.
Ladies, when the Guys are out, what do you do? Bubble baths, spas, reading, manicures/pedicures (I detest the shortened version of that pair of words- I spell and SAY the whole thing. The shortened version resembles baby talk to me. Sorry. A small pet peeve. Baby talk for adults... hmmm,... another post, another time), facials... Aww, Gidget!
In any case, I try and use my time wisely on those days off, usually doing stuff that reminds me I AM indeed a girly girl at heart. My heart just happens to belong to the Dodgers.
